I have been tutoring for four years in various subjects at the elementary, middle school, high school, college, and graduate level. I specialize in writing, with a focus on college essay writing. My passion for writing has afforded me the privilege of having my writing published for a marketing firm in Cleveland, Ohio. My approach to teaching is based on an awareness that, as I verbally communicate instructions for solving a problem, I must establish a pace at which the student can easily follow the instructions from the beginning to the conclusion of the process. This approach also requires presenting the material so that it highlights an area of interest to the student. Enabling the student to develop a personal connection to what is being taught helps the student to recognize the personal benefit of learning the information. I have achieved this goal tutoring in reading, writing, grammar, math, science, US and world history, and conducting test prep sessions for SAT, ACT, PSAT, and LSAT. I graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in History, and majored in International Relations and Psychology at The United States Military Academy. For recreation, I travel, attend concerts, exercise, and watch movies.
